Columbus Hospital Abatement & Demolition

The former Columbus Hospital consisted of phased scheduled asbestos abatement and demolition. The site was constructed of multiple high-rise buildings ranging from 7 to 10-stories. The facility had its own power house. Omega performed asbestos abatement, hazardous material removal, building demolition including foundation, footing, and structural supporting base’s, UST removal and soil remediation removal. Note this facility was very close to Lake Michigan and the ground water was a major problem while removing below grade concrete structures. Omega designed a plan to install well points and water re-direction to timely complete and maintain the project schedule.
